USC spine surgeons have recently attended courses and given lectures to collaborate with international spine surgeons and stay up to date on the latest in spine care.

Their recent contributions are listed below.

  • Jeffrey Wang, MD and John Liu, MD led a global forum on spine surgery in a televised lecture to Tehran University spine surgeons on cervical myelopathy surgical approaches and minimally invasive lumbar surgery advancements on Feb. 4, 2015.
  • Patrick Hsieh, MD, Jana Evenhouse, RN, Carol Falletta, RN and Endy Tran, RN attended the Young Spine Surgeon and Spinal Deformity Summit in Bangkok, Thailand in January 2015. This course provided teaching and education on complex reconstructive spine surgery, bringing together experts from all over the world.
  • Jeffrey Wang, MD, John Liu, MD, Thomas Chen, MD, PhD, and Patrick Hsieh, MD attended the international AO Foundation spine course in Davos, Switzerland in December 2014 as faculty to discuss the most advanced techniques in spine surgery.
